Learning from other's experience

Back
A wise person can learn from another's experience,
a fool cannot learn from even his own!
Classical ways Look - take care of the finer detail
Listen - to teachers & mates, ask questions
Read - books, instructions, guidelines, signs & help pages on PC's
Repeat  - the actions of others, avoid their mistakes
Outside help Mentoring - guidance and support by a friend
Coaching supervised training
Web search - loads of info (but be careful use reputable sources)

You are the
key ingredient

We can learn from the experience of others
and avoid their mistakes ....
but even making mistakes can help our own learning,
throughout our whole life.

People can suggest things
but it is our choice
to accept or reject.

Home There is five things in life we cannot change:

1.  Everything changes and ends.
2.  Things do not always go according to plan.
3.  Life is not always fair.
4.  Pain is a part of life.
5.  People are not loving and loyal all the time.

These are core challenges that we all face.
We behave as if somehow these givens aren't always in effect,
or not applicable to all of us.
When we oppose these five basic truths
we resist reality and then life becomes an endless series
of disappointments, frustrations and sorrows.

If we can accept these five down to earth facts,
we realise that they are what we need
to gain courage, compassion, wisdom and to find real happiness.
In all of this we can also experience bliss,
our hopes are sometimes exceeded,
we discover unique inner gifts,
things have a way of working out,
luck  comes our way,
and miracles of healing happen!
